MAIN ELEMENTS OF THE EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Exploring and discussing the concepts about civic participation and, volunteerism, and comparing them with the national realities

Building up competences (skills, knowledge and attitudes) of the participants in the areas of volunteering and civic participation

Assessment of best practices and common pitfalls

Action planning for future projects and co‐operations aiming at strengthening the recognition of volunteerism, encouraging civic participation of citizens,

The exchange will focus on different methods using non-formal education in working with key concepts. The program of the course will be conducted using an interactive and participative approach. Diversity, e.g. in the group of participants, will be considered as a resource for the building‐up and transfer of competences. Methodology of this exchange is based non-formal education, intercultural, individual, experiential and experience-based learning. It is composed of a balanced mixture of non-formal learning methods, including energizers, getting to know each other, working group sessions and inputs by the trainers. There will only be few frontal lectures, the main part of the training course will be delivered in the form of practical sessions implemented by the participants. The main activities of the project are: presentations, discussions, exploration work and different forms of multicultural education and additional methods. Organizers will take care of creating a supportive and safe learning environment, where participants are encouraged and coached while mastering challenges that contribute to their personal, professional and organisational development.
